Whether connecting a mobile worker, a CCTV camera, a traffic light, a parking meter, a digital sign, a sensor, an office, and more, WiMAX provides multi-megabit connectivity to support data, voice and video services.
Typical speeds are up to 10Mbps downlink and 2Mbps uplink, although this is by no means a limitation and far higher speeds can be achieved if the network is appropriately architected for the applications concerned.
The network is scalable – capacity can grow with demand simply by increasing the density of cells.
